The National Student Clearinghouse will perform scheduled maintenance during the routine maintenance window on Sunday, June 21, from 10:00 PM ET until 2:00 AM ET on Monday, June 22. During this time, Verification Services, including DegreeVerify, EnrollmentVerify, DiplomaVerify, associated APIs and Web applications, and the Insights JSON API, may experience brief, intermittent disruptions.

SSL Certificate Update – Action Required by July 20 Jul 20, 2026 07:00-07:10 EDT
API clients using DegreeVerify, High School DiplomaVerify, and Insights must update certificates to maintain connectivity.
The Clearinghouse will update SSL certificates for:
• secure.studentclearinghouse.org
• secureapi.studentclearinghouse.org
*Includes AWS root
Action required by July 20, 2026, at 7:00 AM ET:
• Download the updated SSL certificates from the Certificate Help page located at https://help.studentclearinghouse.org/schoolsecuresite/knowledge-base/security-certificate-support/
• Update trust store (both endpoints + AWS root)
After update:
• Test API connections
• May result in service interruption if not completed
